What is Mixing?

When a song is finally finished recording you can end up with a stack of tracks a lot bigger than you expected. Mixing is simply getting that stack of seperate sources to fit together and finally sound like a record. Some of the things we do during mixing are managing dynamics, using equalization to fit instruments together, applying effects, and programming automation to add movement to your song.

It's all in the Room

Even the greatest mix engineer can’t make good mix decisions if they aren’t hearing the song accurately. Our room was built specifically to manage sound so our speakers can be heard as they were intended. Pairing this with the experience of our mix engineers and our multiple monitoring systems, we can make sure your mix will hold up even on the most unorthox of systems.

"Nothing beats a room designed to be heard"

Hear our work

We can tell you all day about our process and equipment, but all that matters at the end is how the record sounds! Please check out our audio portfolio for examples of our work. If your genre isn’t represented on our portfolio reach out to us and we can work out a personalized solution.

Start to finish

Mastering is the final coat of polish put on a mix to balance it against the rest of the record and similar commercial releases. We always recommend to send a mix to a dedicated mastering house for a new perspective by a dedicated professional, but we understand that isn’t feasible for everyone. We don’t want you to release anything but the best, so we include free in house mastering with every mix for those without the budget to send it elsewhere.
